As students conclude their teenage years, SCA’s high school department strives to play an integral part in developing the students into the adults they will become. SCA seeks to be distinctively Christian in all that we do while providing the highest available education, activities, and experiences possible. SCA offers a challenging academic program, exciting electives, award-winning fine arts opportunities, and a competitive athletic program.
Academic classes are taught by degreed, certified, caring teachers who challenge the students both intellectually and spiritually. A variety of secular and Christian curriculum is used to provide our teachers and students with the best possible resources, and Biblical values are integrated into all classes.
Honor courses are available in math, science, history, and English.
Advanced Placement courses are available in Calculus, Pre-Calculus, Physics, Biology, English Language, English Literature, General Psychology, Environmental Science, Human Geography, World History, and US History.
Dual enrollment opportunities at the local community college are available for students who meet established criteria. Additionally, some dual enrollment courses are offered on SCA campus through a partnership with Cedarville University and Southeastern University. The high school academic program stresses independence and college readiness.
The parent communication tool, FACTS, allows parents and students to closely monitor students' grades and assignments.
SCA offers a variety of electives for our students. They may participate in the fine arts department by joining choir, drama, band, or art. Other elective options include advanced art, café/culinary arts, coding, SAT Prep, principles of entrepreneurship, weight training, and yearbook. Students have the opportunity for educational travel abroad.
For graduation, students must maintain a 2.0 and are required to have 24 core academic credits. SCA graduates have been accepted into many Christian and secular colleges across the nation and are making a difference in their communities and local churches. In 2025, the senior class of 70 students received over $1.7 million in college scholarships.
